Last updated November 3, 2026

This policy explains what information SimmerIQ collects when you visit simmeriq.com or use the SimmerIQ app at app.simmeriq.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

SimmerIQ is operated by SimmerIQ, 2070 Harvey Ave, Unit 156, Kelowna, BC V1Y 8P8, Canada. In this policy, “SimmerIQ”, “we” and “us” mean that business, and we are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us about privacy at contact@simmeriq.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run SimmerIQ:

  • Account details you give us, such as your name, email address, and the name and web address of your recipe site.
  • Site and search data for the recipe sites you add, such as published recipe pages, keywords you track and search performance figures.
  • Billing details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, billing status and the email used at checkout; we don’t receive or store your full card number.
  • Usage information collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device, the pages you visit, and when and how long you visit them.
  • Messages you send us, for example support requests.

3. How we use it

  • To create and run your account and show you recipe refresh suggestions and results.
  • To process payments and manage your plan.
  • To contact you about your account, such as sign-up confirmations, password resets and service updates.
  • To understand how SimmerIQ is used, keep it secure, fix problems and improve the product.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

5. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run SimmerIQ:

  • Stripe, for payments.
  • Our hosting, database and email-delivery providers.
  • Analytics providers that help us understand how SimmerIQ is used.

These providers may use your information only to perform their services for us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger, sale or other transfer of our business.

6. Cookies and similar storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your choices and keep SimmerIQ secure. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of SimmerIQ may not work without them.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, and as long as needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Usage information is generally kept for a shorter time, unless we need it for security or to improve SimmerIQ, or the law requires us to keep it longer. Deleted information can stay in our encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups are overwritten.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by emailing contact@simmeriq.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your local privacy or data protection authority.

9. Security and international transfers

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information, though no method of sending or storing data online is completely secure. Our providers may process data outside your province or country; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

10. Children

SimmerIQ is for businesses and adults. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, contact us at contact@simmeriq.com and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and tell account holders by email or in the app before the changes take effect. See also our Terms of Service.
